5A-Identifying Local Opportunities

Local Opportunities  The news paper that I have decided to use is the Gainesville Sun. I am going to talk about some of the local issues and identify some opportunities that may come from these stories  1. Gainesville PD: Contractor steals elderly woman's jewelry. https://www.gainesville.com/news/20200130/gainesville-pd-contractor-steals-elderly-womans-jewelry This story explains that an elderly woman was having some remodeling working done in her home. After the contractor had left she realized that $400 dollars worth of jewelry were missing. The contractor then went on to sell the woman's jewelry, which she identified was hers.  The problem in this article is that this elderly woman trusted that this man was going to go into her house and do what he was there to do. Instead this contractor stole from her and I am sure she feels violated.  In this situation the individuals with the problem include the resident of the home, the thief, the police departme...

4A- Forming An Opportunity Identification

Hello Everyone, I am sure you all remember my list of 20 bugs. Today I am going to be going back over that list and trying to identify one of my personal bugs that many other individuals might be able to relate to. The bug that I believe a lot of people can relate to is #6. This bug states " Parking at UF. There are so many students at the University of Florida, however, I do not believe that there is enough parking for students who do not live on campus. It would make more sense to me to have the students that live on campus not be able to park on campus in the school parking lots because they can walk to class." I believe that this is a serious issue for many of the students at the University of Florida, including the on campus students. I am a student at the University of Florida that lives off campus. There have been many times where I have wanted to go to the library to study, however, it was nearly impossible to make it to campus during school hours without ...

3A- My Entrepreneurship Experience

Image
My Entrepreneurship Experience Hello everyone, Today I am going to take about one of the experiences I have had with entrepreneurship. I am currently an Innovation Academy student at the University of Florida. In the spring semester of my freshman year, I participated in a class that required my group and I to make a prototype of an object. We were to present this project to a committee and receive feedback on our product. I realize that it is only the beginning of this class (ENT3003), however, it has already been made clear that my group and I made so many mistakes when it came to the creation of this product. One of the things that I want to share from my experience, is not truly thinking out our target audience. The product that my group came up with was something called "Drinky Pods". We designed this eco-friendly product to target college kids, not realizing that college aged kids will most likely not want to spend the extra money for an eco-friendly product. The...

Assignment 2A- Bug List

Image
I will identify 20 things that bug me in my day to day life and talk about why I think these things happen.  1. When sitting at a stop sign it bugs me when nobody knows who's turn it is to go so everyone just sits there waiting and holding up traffic  Why?  Nobody is really paying attention to who got there first and everyone is always in a rush 2. When I need to go inside the gas station and pay for my gas with cash.  Why? I believe the reason for this is because the gas pumps are not fit to hold cash and this would require the gas station attendants to go outside every so often and empty it out, this can also cause other problems, such as increased robberies  3. Living with 3 other roommates there are a lot of things in our fridge. Something that really bugs me is when I go shopping first my stuff ends up in the back and then things go bad because I forget they are there.  Why? This is just something that happens when there are man...
